Singer Songwriter Rhett May Releases Amazing Creatures of the Night Youtube Video

Born in Calcutta, Rhett May has had a long international musical journey to get to this point.  He moved to Australia early in his life and took a multi-decade break from music before releasing his newest album Creatures of the Night.  However, the album contains hints of Mays’ Calcutta upbringing with his mastery of the Sitar being showcased.  May’s album is a cohesive flowing experience with no weak links.  Each and every song moves seamlessly from one to another as if the entire album were written as a cohesive listening journey.  The album’s continuity is reminiscent to the classic days of rock and keeps the listener on the edge of their seat for the entire experience.

Jan Daleys New Smooth Jazz Album Hits Home with Listeners

Jan Daley’s new album “The Way of a Woman” is impressing listeners from beyond just the smooth jazz realm.  Music lovers of all kinds are gravitating toward the confident, vocally dynamic and polished sound that Daley has become known for.  Her accompanists and producer Michael B. Geoff Alpert Draws Inspiration From Wayne Henderson In New Album Open Your Heart

Being a self taught trombone player, Alpert spent many years perfecting his sound. He took a break from his playing in the early 80’s to be a devoted father and husband. After the painful passing of his wife in 2002, he went back to his roots and picked up the trombone once again and used the music as a vessel to convey his emotions.

With the help of bassist Darryl Williams and musical director/keyboardist Gail Jhonson, he was inspired to make “Open Your Heart”. The album has an incredible mix of jazz, pop, R&B and funk which are very reminiscent of the sounds that we would hear from Wayne Henderson and highlights Alpert’s exceptional trombone playing.

After over forty years of teaching Ken-Ka-Kung-Fu, Alpert attributes much of his musical inspiration to the qualities of love and sharing that his martial arts experience taught him. He has a constant focus on wanting to challenge himself in multiple ways, not just in martial arts but also his music.
