In honor of
Memorial Day coming up, smooth jazz singer
Jan Daley, has released a special version of her song “The One She’s Been
Waiting For”. The original song can be found on Jan Daley’s newest smooth jazz
record which was released in April 2017 called “The Way of a Woman”. She made a
few lyric changes in touching tribute to all the men, women, families and
friends of the Armed Forces including her father who perished in Germany in
1945 while on a mission to pick up P.O.W’s, after World War II, whom she never
got a chance to meet.
The original track
on the album was incredibly well executed; however, these little changes to the
lyrics add a little bit more of a personal touch from Jan. It is definitely a
song that will touch the hearts of every person that listens to it. You can now
purchase this special version of the song on CD
Baby. The song is
also accompanied by a video that you can watch on YouTube.

Jan’s swooning voice stays above the players and creates a new and
unique sound for every song she performs.
Of the eleven

most popular songs and jazz standards from the early 20th century)
in the other five tunes, Daley’s smooth jazz

Jan Daley is one
of the few artists alive today whose music truly captures the magic of classic
jazz and the Great American Songbook era (music of the early 20th
century by prominent artists such as Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hammerstein and
others). This is some of the most studied music ever written but it is rare
that an artist can actually recreate the incredible and distinct smooth jazz
sound of this time.
Daley teams up
with some of the most phenomenal accompanists around to create a perfectly
cohesive tribute to the days of classic
smooth jazz. In the words of Frank
Sinatra, “she’s got it.” Critics
couldn’t agree more and time after time Daley is praised by the media. Variety stated that she is one of the, “most
entertaining, best balanced talent blends on the market.” Take a minute out of your busy day and
immerse yourself in the exceptional sound of Jan Daley’s smooth jazz.
