Kitaro began playing and composing music in the early 1970s. His unique fusion of electronic artistry, traditional Japanese forms and pop-inflected Western idioms created a rich, harmonic and poetic sound that garnered him a huge international following. Kitaro won a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score for his work on the movie Heaven And Earth and a Grammy Award for Best New Age Album for Thinking Of You.

Just FAITH, 14 Year Old Pop Artist Opening For 80’s Icons Wang Chung

Although not even born yet when Pop Rock Artists Wang Chung and The Cutting Crew hit it big with their 80’s hits, 14 Year Old Pop Artist Just FAITH will be opening for them on Sunday, August 20th at Shannon’s on Pine in Long Beach, CA at 4 PM. Other special guests include up-and-comers The Companies, Yellr, Christopher Brothers, ALone Together and Highland Kites.  It’s an all ages show (some of the guests artists like the Christopher Bros are under 18 as well) so it’s a great family event with something for every age and every taste!

Jan Daley Interviews on NPRs Full Spectrum Show About New Smooth Jazz Album The Way of a Woman

Jan Daley recently interviewed on NPR’s The Full Spectrum Show with Dwain Doty. If you’d like to take a listen, you can check it out here.  Recently, “The Way of a Woman” placed at #5 and #6 on the Billboard Jazz and Traditional Jazz Chart respectively.  In the interview, Jan talks about her smooth jazz single “When Sunny Gets Blue” and her personal relationship with the writer Jack Segal.  The lighthearted interview talks about Jan’s motivations and her long road to success.  She also goes into some of the incredible artists that Jan has been able to perform with throughout her extensive career.
