WannaBeatles Would Give Up Their Grammy Win for a Chance to Meet Paul McCartney
The WannaBeatles received their first Grammy nomination in December as the producers of "Fab Fan Memories - The Beatles Bond", a CD featuring songs, stories, recollections and fond thoughts about The Beatles from celebrities and everyday fans. The project is nominated in the "Best Spoken Word Album" category. The audio book also features narration by George Harrison's older sister, Louise Harrison, performances by The Liverpool Legends of Branson, Mo., and of course performances by The WannaBeatles themselves.
Fresh on the heels of their first Grammy nomination for "Fab Fan Memories - The Beatles Bond", the Nashville-based Beatles tribute band The WannaBeatles has launched a spirited campaign to meet Sir Paul at the Grammys in Hollywood on Feb. 12. The campaign includes the release of their new song and video, "We Wanna Meet Paul".
"We are so excited to be at the same show as Paul," said bandleader and two-time Grammy winner Dennis Scott. "Our little album has made it to the Grammys against all odds," Scott added. "This may be our one and only chance to meet Paul McCartney and, on behalf of the fans, thank him for the music that changed our lives."
"Our album is all about the fans," said Scott. The CD is available at iTunes
"If we meet Paul, it will be a victory for 'Fab Fans' everywhere."

Small town with a big sound, rock band Refuse The Fall has new music that you need to know about!Winners of the Promote Me Like A Rockstar Competition (sponsored by Whotune.com) Refuse The Fall is exactly what the alternative rock scene needs. They beat out hundreds of bands that entered the contest and performed in the final five on the Whotune jam cam for the panel of judges, and jumped to #1 on the Whotune charts. The band was ranked #1 “Top Ten Unsigned Bands” by Alternative Addiction.com and it won’t be long until they are a household name.
“Refuse The Fall is more proof that being from a town with no music scene forces bands to try harder. Check out a band who blurs the genre lines by drawing from a deep pool of influences that shine through in a fresh new blend that you are sure to appreciate. Featuring not just one, but two of the south’s best voices working together to deliver one of the most unique sounds in recent history. Refuse any substitution...Refuse The Fall.”
-Brett Hestla (former member of the band Creed), Founder of record label Silent Majority
Band members Toby Taylor, Dusty Rea, Gavin Douglas, and Cody Mathis have great artistic vision and passion. Their single Let It Rain has a dramatic intensity that will have the chorus stuck in your head for days.
