UNSIGNED ARTIST – Sell your music at WHOTUNE.COM!

Let’s face it, when you are an independent doing your own marketing and publicity, you can send your customers anywhere you please, so why just go along with the crowd and send them to iTunes when you can make MORE than double the royalties at Whotune.com?

Unlike the largest download site who takes 37% to 40% of our band’s royalites for the sale of each download, and unlike other sites that charge my band a monthly, up-front or bandwidth storage fee, Whotune.com, a leading Indie Artist store requires no up-front fees, no monthly fees, no storage fees and takes only 15% of royalties for download sales; leaving our Band 85%!

Plus, they have lots of other features. They have competitions where you play live on their JamCam to other members who vote on winners for various prizes like equipment, marketing campaigns for your band, appearances and other stuff.

The biggest thrill for me was to hear one of our songs on their Indie artist radio station. Once I started listening to Whotune Radio, I became an immediate fan. Man, there’s some great music on this site!

The Star-studded group “Band From TV” impresses me, a non-believer!

All of a sudden, I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about the musical group “Band From TV”. When I first heard about this celebrity-stocked amalgam, I found the concept a little hard to believe. The roster alone seemed too star-studded to fathom. How many times have we seen actors attempting to bridge the gap between film and music? And how many times have they failed?

I looked up the album on amazon.com and the band picture popped up. I quickly recognized Hugh Laurie from tv’s HOUSE and was immediately intrigued. After all, he is already an accomplished piano player. James Denton from DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and Greg Grunberg from HEROES were a couple of other easily recognizable faces, and as it turns out, the majority of the group were actually musicians prior to their success of their acting careers. Now I was curious. I gave their audio clips a listen and I must say I was quite impressed! The musicality and the vocals were awesome! Even the mix, for being live was extremely well-done. I even stumbled upon a short, acoustic session of theirs on Sirius radio and just wow! They sounded even better in a more intimate environment. This group, for all its glitz and glamour, does posses serious talent! From what I hear, the band is now expanding and I’m excited to hear how their sound progresses with these new additions. Check out their stuff and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Check out Boston’s freshest Hip Hop act Laz and Cat with their new single Swagger Dance

Laz and Cat, self-proclaimed Hip-Hop Dynamic-Duo, from Boston are releasing their third single off their debut album – TRICITY VOL. 1, entitled “SWAGGER DANCE,” a bass-booming, vibration-moving, dirty-south inspired hip-hop song that encourages people to make your own dance move no matter how crazy or ridiculous it may be. You can listen to and download “Swagger Dance” here: bit.ly/SwaggerDance.
Laz and Cat are “two minds” from different lifestyles who have come together to make “one sound” in current Hip-Hop styles with a mild fusion in Pop & R&B styles. You can describe this duo as exciting, entertaining, engaging, and a “production force” able to produce music & film all in-house.
If you like New Boyz’ Jerk and Cali Swag District’s Teach Me How to Dougie, listen to Laz and Cat’s new single “SWAGGER DANCE”. You can copy the Jerk or the do the Dougie, but if you got your own swagger you can make your own dance.
"This song (Swagger Dance) is definitely a different, energetic, and fresh concept that Laz & I put together in the studio, and personally I think will catch on like wildfire once people hear it" says Cat. "If you got yourself a little Swag, meaning confidence, that innate quality that makes you a very special person, and you can do whatever dance you can do fluently, and you put a little swag on it, then you got yourself a dance."
Swagger Dance is off of Laz & Cat's debut album, "Tricity Vol. 1" which is available on iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, Rhapsody, Napster, Sprint & Verizon VCAST, among many other online retail websites worldwide. You can learn more about Laz & Cat by visiting their website at http://music.triceptus.com, or their Myspace page at www.myspace.com/lazuruscatipus.

Check out the new sound of the Jane Smith Band for fans who like John Mayer, Train or the Dave Matthews Band

As a fan of adult contemporary and alternative rock, I found some amazing artists in the Jane Smith Band out of England. They play a blend of beautifully crafted songs in a classic vein. Their new single, See the Truth, just came out on September 20, 2010 and is available for download. Take a listen to it and see what you think: http://bit.ly/JaneSmithonWhoTune.

If you like John Mayer, Bryan Adams, Train, Dave Matthews Band, or Coldplay, you’ll love the Jane Smith Band. The Singer, Nick Barclay, has a unique voice that some have compared to the great singers Steve Marriot and Paul Carrack. But Nick says that making a connection with the audience is all that matters.

The band was formed by singer songwriter Nick Barclay, Kev Willison and Paul Bowman and joined by Kevin Powell on bass, Nathan Ariss on keyboards, and more recently Ronnie Douglas on guitar. Their songs are mature, thoughtful, and inspiring and when I have a bad day they really lift me up. The band writes about personal life moments and reflects upon normal every day people’s lives in a positive way. They find it is important to send the message that one can overcome difficult times and look forward to the future with hope.

You can listen to their debut single, See the Truth, on WhoTune.com: http://bit.ly/JaneSmithonWhoTune.
